Mobile Training Center
An innovative tool we use to help our principals and distributors significantly increase their sales results, The Mobile Training Center is our 33-foot Freightliner that serves as a rolling classroom. This tool has allowed us to reach new people and new opportunities with educational programs, product demonstrations and support services. All of this adds up to more sales.
The premise of the Mobile Training Center is that distributors sell what they feel most comfortable selling, and end-users buy what they feel most comfortable using. The Mobile Training Center travels throughout the Southwest enhancing the brand recognition of our principals’ products, exposing distributors and end-users to new lines, and allowing hands-on usage of equipment and products.
Built on a 33-foot long Freightliner chassis, our custom-designed enclosure offers some 200 square feet of training and display area, with a built-in video playback system. It can be configured to display a thematically related array of products, or to feature an entire line from one manufacturer.
Utilizing the curriculum outlined in Introduction to Construction Products, and modeled after the ITW Construction Products Training and Conference Center in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, the Mobile Training Center provides distributors and contractors a convenient and effective solution to their training needs. Distributor sales and support personnel will gain valuable insight into the basics of the construction industry. In addition, local and regional trade associations and vocational schools have an opportunity to conduct examinations and licensing of apprentices and entry-level students.
