Accepting the premise that current distributor strategies are focused on maintaining lower inventory levels, The Lawless Group provides an important service by warehousing local inventory. 
This strategy is twofold; it serves the manufacturer by enabling us to process fill-in and spot-buy orders, and it serves our distributor client by allowing the bundling of various product lines in one order.
Operating two primary and several secondary warehouse facilities, The Lawless Group's commitment to local inventory is evidenced by more than 150,000 square feet of warehouse space devoted to supporting the supply channel. Our corporate headquarters is housed in our 65,000 square foot Dallas facility, while our Houston warehouse covers more than 87,000 square feet of contiguous space.
Our inventory falls into two categories: 1) manufacturer-owned consigned goods that remain with the manufacturer until received by the purchasing distributor, and 2) goods owned by The Lawless Group that are subject to different terms and available through combined orders.
Each of our principals has their own unique approach to local inventory and support. Our mission is to effectively implement these policies in support of the manufacturer's marketing strategy.
- We are the primary customer service/order entry and shipping point for many of our principals. For these partners we provide the initial contact with the customer, ship the products, and notify the manufacturer to ensure proper invoicing.
- For several of our principals we simply function as a depository for fill-in and/or spot-buy orders. In general, these manufacturers provide their own inside sales/order entry effort and merely notify our warehouse of orders to be shipped.
Please note that all products in our warehouses are shipped to distribution partners only, avoiding any conflict between competing distributors relating to shared end user customers.
